We are heading to southwest France on this edition of Shirt Of The Week, to take a look at the wonderful Bordeaux 2022/23 home shirt! Manufactured by Adidas, this super clean jersey showcases the well known white chevron across the front. There are also very faint, vertical pinstripes in the design and a super smart white collar, to top off an all round stunning shirt. The kit was produced during Adidas’s third term of partnership with Les Girondins, with the latest period starting in 2020 after the side cut ties with Puma.

While Bordeaux's kits over the last few years have been great, their internal financial situation has been quite the opposite, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The club was relegated after finishing last in Ligue 1 in the 2021-2022 season and then was administratively relegated at the end of last season, where they were dropped down to Championnat National 2, the 4th tier of French football. In the 2022-23 season, Bordeaux finished 3rd in Ligue 2 league, narrowly missing out on promotion back to the top flight by 3 points. Nigerian International Josh Maja finished as the side’s top goal scorer during the season with 17 goals.
