Glastonbury x Adidas Originals Football Shirt
Adidas announced something a little bit different this week, with their drop of this stunning new collaborative football kit between themselves and the Glastonbury Festival.
The Glastonbury x Adidas Originals football shirt features a base colour of solid black, together with a plethora of colours on a design that is inspired by the festival’s iconic pyramid stage, with a triangular pattern spanning the entire length of the jersey. This special shirt’s design also makes use of the famous Adidas “Ipswich template” from 1988. Which was used on some of the greatest football shirts ever made, such as the Netherlands 1988 home kit and the Germany 1988 away jersey. A beautiful embroidered glastonbury badge and Adidas trefoil logo also make an appearance on the shirt, along with a small “EST 1970” badge on the reverse. A minimum of £10 from each sale of the collaborative top will go to the Oxfam charity, who have been working with The Glastonbury Festival since 1993.
Those that are lucky enough to be going to Glastonbury this year, can take the shirt to Oxfam’s Park Shop during the festival, where they can get a special “Glastonbury 25” print applied to their jersey. Glastonbury posted images of the special edition kit on their socials modelled by finalists of their emerging talent competition. The shirt is avaliable to purchase via the online glastonbury store and can also be purchased from select Oxfam stores.
