Marseille 2023/2024 Third Football Shirt
In this week's edition of Shirt of the Week, we will take a closer look at the Las Vegas Lights 2022/23 Away Football Shirt. It's a vibrant shirt, manufactured by renowned kit supplier Meyba, who has produced some of the greatest jerseys ever made, like the Barcelona 82/89 shirt. The shirt has a wavy, bright, multicoloured pattern that is said to be inspired by the deserts of Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Lights currently competes in the USL Championship, which is the second-highest league in the country behind MLS. The Lights had a disappointing 2022 season, finishing in 9th position and missing out on a playoff spot by only 1 point. During the 2021 and 2022 seasons, the club had a partnership with MLS club Los Angeles FC, which allowed the two teams to share staff and saw LVL receive loan players from LA FC to help their season.
The Nevada side was formed in 2017 and took part in their first USL season in 2018. The club's crest takes inspiration from the famous neon lights that shine down Las Vegas Boulevard. The team currently plays their home games at Cashman Field, a stadium that was originally used to host baseball games. LVL will be hoping to reach the playoffs for the first time this season after a dismal 2023 which saw them finish at the bottom of the Western Conference with a total of 19 points.
