Football kit news from the UK where Margate FC have unveiled their brand new 2025/26 home jersey! The new shirt features a base colour of blue, together with a zig-zag style pattern of black, red and light blue. Main sponsorship of the jersey comes from legendary (and local) indie rock band The Libertines, making this shirt a must have for festival season! The kit also features a white crew neck collar, red and white sleeve ends and white sleeve stripes. The main inspiration for the design of the shirt comes from Inter Milan’s home jerseys. As the current Margate FC manager Ben Greenhalgh was at Inter milan during the 2010/11 season and took home a UCL winners medal despite not playing a competitive match for the club. The kit is manufactured by O’Neils, an Irish brand who have been producing the club’s kits since 2020. The jersey was designed by local Margate artist Luke Mclean.
Margate FC currently compete in the south east division of the Isthmian League. The 2024/25 season saw the club finish a strong 4th position in the league, securing a play-off spot. Unfortunately the club’s promotion hopes were shattered after a 2-0 defeat to Burgess Hill Town in the semi finals of the play-offs. The club play their home matches at Hartsdown park, which has a capacity of 2,100 and are nicknamed The Gate.
