Morocco 2022/2023 Home Football Shirt
In December 2022 Morocco was in the world’s sporting spotlight after reaching the semi-finals of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, becoming the first African side to do so. Although they lost the match to France 2-0, their incredible tournament run was inspirational and showed how team spirit and effective coaching can be just as important as having a plethora of superstars in your team.
The jersey they wore on this magnificent journey was the stunning 2022/23 home kit. This shirt itself was heavily inspired by the Moroccan national kit of 1998 worn at France 98. The design features the same colours of red and green, a centralised Puma logo and the same pattern on the front that the original shirt of 1998 featured.
The Atlas Lions are historically one of Africa’s most successful teams, winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 1976, 2 African Nations Championships and competing in an incredible 6 FIFA World Cups. The country is due to host the 2030 World Cup along with Spain and Portugal, becoming the 2nd ever African country to host the Tournament. Morocco's all-time top goalscorer is Ahmed Faras with 36 goals for the national side. Faras was an incredibly loyal footballer playing for only one professional side Chabab Mohammédia, where he made an astonishing 784 appearances for the club and scored 231 goals.
