With drops from big clubs like Arsenal and Lazio, to stunning releases from smaller teams like CD Leaganes and Beerschot fc, this year has already had a little bit of everything in the world of football kits! We’ve created this piece to explore what we think are the best kit releases of the year so far, to make sure you haven’t missed anything.
Arsenal 2024-2025 “No More Red” Kit

Arsenal dropped their latest edition of their “No More Red” kit this month, with the men’s first team wearing a version of it in their 3rd Round FA Cup defeat to Manchester United on January 12th 2025. The jersey’s design features an all white base colour, along with black sponsorship and badges. This was Arsenal’s fourth year of promoting the No more Red campaign, an initiative which aims to keep young people safe from knife crime and youth violence.
Aston Villa 150th Anniversary Kit

When it comes to special edition kits, anniversary jersey’s often have some of the greatest and most memorable designs. Villa have treated us to this stunning black kit to celebrate 150th years of the club's existence. The shirt features the classic lion rampant crest that was the club’s original kits back in 1878! This top was worn by the side during their FA Cup 3rd round Victory against West Ham on January 10th 2025.
AS Monaco x Koche 2024-2025 Kit

Back in the 2022/23 season, French fashion brand Koche collaborated with AC Milan to create one of the most exciting special kits of that season. Now Koche has teamed up with Ligue 1 club AS Monaco to create another stunning limited edition jersey. Manufactured by Kappa, this shirt features a unique blue diamond pattern which blends into black at the bottom of the kit with an exciting distortion effect. Front sponsorship comes from APM Monaco, a luxury fashion and jewelry store.
Portugal 2025 Away Kit

Portugal became the first European national team to release their 2025 jersey lineup last week, with the standout from the drop being this beautiful 2025 away shirt. The kit features a base colour of white, that sits under a snake skin style pattern of grey, green and red. The colours used on the jersey represent those found on the national flag of Portugal. This amazing new top will most likely make its debut in one of the next round of games in the UEFA Nations league.
Lazio 125th Anniversary Kit

Another club celebrating an anniversary in 2025 is S.S Lazio, marking their 125th birthday with this beautiful special edition home shirt. Manufactured by Japanese brand Mizuno, the kit’s design is inspired by shirts of the 70s and 80s, featuring Lazio’s old club crest used from 1979-1982. The jersey was debuted during a Serie A match against Como on January 10th 2025 which ended as a 1-1 draw.
CD Leganes x Grimey 2024-2025 Kits
Spanish streetwear brand Grimey have collaborated with manufacturer Joma and La Liga side CD Leganes to create 2 incredibly exciting jerseys. The new GRMY home shirt sports a retro style design, with blue and white hoops and a 90s style collar. The shirt’s away version showcases a much more vibrant lime green base colour, with the design portraying a tonal map of the Leganes area. The clubs regular front sponsor Ontime has been replaced with the word Leganes on both of the special jerseys.
Beerschot 125th Anniversary Kit

Belgium Pro League club Beerschot FC have kicked off their 2025 with the release of this gorgeous 125th Anniversary jersey. This incredible long sleeve shirt showcases a full retro look, resembling football kits from the mid 20th century, with a super baggy fit, large collar and huge front sponsorship. The top also sports a classic looking club crest. The jersey was debuted by the club in a home cup match against Anderlecht on January 9th 2025.
1 FC Koln 2025 “Kolsche Originale” Retro Kit

FC Koln surprised us when they dropped this amazing retro style shirt earlier this year. The shirt was produced as a collaboration between the club, Hummel and WE:FC. This special edition shirt features a stunning off white base colour, with a secondary shade of maroon on the collar, sleeve ends and chevrons. The shirt’s material is composed of waffle-like texture, giving the kit an authentic retro feel. It was released on 20th January 2025 via the clubs online store in very limited quantities.

A stunning special edition jersey came out of Florence early this year, when Fiorentina dropped this beautiful collaboration between themselves and designer brand LuisaViaRoma. This limited jersey features the iconic Fiorentina purple base colour, fading in to a darker black colour towards the bottom of the shirt. The top also features a smart button up collar and centralised badges. Only 1,926 of these kits have been produced, with each having a unique ID number printed on them
Toulouse FC 2024-2025 Third Kit

Ligue 1 side Toulouse FC wowed us with a truly special kit release in February this year! The new Toulouse 2024-25 third shirt takes inspiration from the club's nickname Les Violets and was made in collaboration with French streetwear brand Visionaire. It's design is composed of a white base colour paired with beautiful purple flowers. The retro crest that appears on the jersey was first used by the club all the way back in 1979. An old school Nike logo and front sponsorship from LP Promotion also feature on the jersey.

Genoa 2025 Retro Shirt Collection

Italian side Genoa CFC dropped these beautiful retro shirt releases in February, that are remakes of their iconic away and third kits from the 1999/2000 season. The shirts are manufactured by Kappa and both feature the legendary Omini sleeves. Whilst the kits are not due to be worn by the Serie A club in official matches, we still think they deserve a mention for their sheer beauty!
