Here we have one of the great shirts from Ligue 1 this season, the incredible Marseille 23/24 third shirt! This stunning black and orange patterned jersey takes inspiration from the motto "Peuple Volcanique" or "Volcanic people," which describes the electric atmosphere of the supporters at Marseille's stadium, the Orange Velodrome. The shirt also has this phrase written on the inside of the collar. The jersey is manufactured by Puma, who have been making Marseille's kits since 2018.

 

At the time of writing this article, Marseille is sitting at a disappointing 9th in Ligue 1. The team sacked manager Gennaro Gattuso in February 2024 after just five months in charge and replaced him with Frenchman Jean-Louis Gasset. The side's current top goal scorer in the league is ex-Chelsea and Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

 

OM has existed for 124 years and, in that time, has become one of the most successful clubs in the history of French Football, winning 10 first-division titles, 10 French cups, and most memorably, the 1993 UEFA Champions League, which saw the side beat AC Milan 1-0 at the Olympiastadion in Munich.
